Frequently asked questions

How do you rank the forex brokers?

With the ForexGoal Score: regulation 35%, trading costs 25%, minimum deposit 15%, platforms 15% and track record 10%. The score out of 10 is shown as a rating out of 5. Every input comes from facts we verified on the broker's official website or a regulator's register.

How often is the broker data checked?

Each broker's facts are re-checked automatically about every two weeks, and the date of the last check is shown on its review page.

What does the EUR/USD spread cost me?

One pip on a standard lot (100,000 units) of EUR/USD is worth USD 10, so a 1.0-pip spread costs USD 10 per lot traded, before any commission or swap.

Which regulators count as top tier?

Regulators with strict capital and client-money rules, such as the FCA (UK), ASIC (Australia), NFA/CFTC (US), BaFin (Germany), FINMA (Switzerland), MAS (Singapore), JFSA (Japan) and CIRO (Canada).

Editorial note: ForexGoal may earn a commission when you sign up through some partner links. This never changes how we rate forex brokers — ratings come from the published formula above and facts verified on official sources.

Risk warning: CFDs and forex are leveraged products and many retail accounts lose money. Conditions differ between a broker's regulated entities; always confirm the latest conditions on the broker's official website.

Forex No Deposit and Deposit Bonus: What Every Trader Should Know

A forex no deposit bonus is free trading credit that a broker adds to a new, verified account before you fund it. It is the easiest way to test a broker's live spreads, execution speed and withdrawal process without risking your own money. The credit itself usually stays in the account, but profits can be withdrawn once you trade the required lots within the time limit.

A forex deposit bonus works differently: the broker matches a share of the money you add, often 30% to 120%, giving you extra margin to hold trades through normal market swings. Before you accept either forex no deposit and deposit bonus offer, check the broker's regulation, the volume rule, any profit cap and whether the bonus is removed when your own balance runs out. Treat any bonus as a tool for learning, not as guaranteed income.
